How it works

file

1. Type your text and create the PDF

Enter up to 20 characters and press "Create PDF". Each character becomes one full page. Choose from 4 fonts, change the color, and add an optional QR code page.

2. Print at home or at a print shop

Download the PDF and print it on US Letter or A4 paper. Cardstock works great for banners.

3. Hang your banner

Tape the pages to a wall or window, or punch holes and thread a string through to make a hanging banner or garland.

Why one letter per page?

No more fighting with Word font sizes and margins. Type your message, and every letter comes out as big as your printer can make it — already sized, centered and ready to print.

Tips for this banner

Readability from a moving car is everything, so this template stays emoji-free and works best in Bold with black or red letters. Tape the pages in two rows on a sheet of plywood or a folding table set out by the curb.

Why I built this tool

I used to work at a convenience store in Japan.

The owner was always chasing something — answering the phone in the middle of an order, jumping on the register in the middle of the call. And in between, they'd sit at the office computer, fighting with a sign that said “FRIED CHICKEN ___ YEN”. Make the font bigger and it runs off the page. Change the printer settings, and now it's too small.

Friends who ran their own shops kept asking me to make signs for them, too. I was glad to help. But every time, I thought: what people really need isn't someone to ask — it's a way to make one themselves, right now. No design skills, no special software.

So I built one. Type your text. One letter per page, as big as it gets. That's all it is — really, that's all.

For the first three years after launch, it earned exactly zero. No ads, no sign-ups, no fees. Call it stubbornness — I just wanted to know one thing: is this genuinely needed?

The answer came. Over 70,000 PDFs have been created — by shop owners, teachers at kindergartens and schools, crews at construction sites, and someone decorating for a family birthday. Four sheets spelling “OPEN”, a sports-day banner, a “SAFETY FIRST” notice, a “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” strung across the living-room wall — each one protecting ten minutes for somebody like that owner of mine.

This tool will stay free. It runs entirely on tips. If it saved you some time today, would you consider buying me a coffee?

Your cup buys ten minutes for the next busy person out there.

Tips are in Japanese yen — ¥500 is about $3.50.
